In class we did an activity where we were blindfolded with eye masks. We had a guide person guiding us. As you can observe in the picture to the left. Daniel is guiding Kevin #2 to our classroom. Being a guide person is a big responsiblity because if you dont do your job correctly, then your person can get seriously injured. Some tasks that the guide person had to do were; #1 check their surroundings #2 lead them #3 make sure you have trust #4 use our other senses. Clearly, we learned a blind person's perspective and also learned that being a guide person is a big responsibility.
We read a story about a mom that is blind and in the story her guide dog died so she has to get a new guide dog. She goes away to train with the new guide dog, while her family stays home and does all the chores. After training, mom comes home with the new guide dog and her name is Ursula. She keeps crashing mom into bushes and mom is nervous about Ursula. The guide dog is trying to gain mom's trust. After Ursula settles down she is more mature and starts guiding mom right.
